Here are a few awesome facts about our community:


Navajo Name: Bilagaana' Sneez            Domain Size: Around 70,771 Acres


    Counselor community was named after Jim Counselor, an early settler, and trader who opened the very first trading post in the year of 1930. The Trading Post still exists today, but in the years since it has been converted to Redmesa Trading. The community of Counselor is also just south of the historic Dinetah; one of the earliest Navajo settlements that dates back to the 1400s.
